Those Hazy Last Days of Summer

So, these pictures were taken in the park we go to every Wednesday after school. We went on the Sunday in the last weekend before school started, and it was a really fun day.

We played checkers in the park on a Sunday, and it was really goddamn fun. Me, Dan and Greg won once (with like no help from me lmao) and Jack won once.

This was like, second last park of the holidays, and it was really great. Near the end it started getting freeeeezing, which reminded me that - Shit, school starts in three days but luckily AUTUMN comes soon and I'm really excited for that. This park will always be a special place for me because I've spent so much time here over the past three years with these amazing people, and I'll remember every single little heart-to-heart and whiny angst filled cry I've ever had here - as well as every 'private conversation', and little in-jokes and laughs I'm lucky to have shared with such rad friends.

Pictures from summer. I haven't posted throughout summer because everything I've done has been super repetitive and it'd be annoying to see the same posts about going to the park with the same people every day. Robbo also broke up with me two days in, so it took about a week for me to adjust to everything being different again but I'm over it. I'm just as happy as I was when I was with him which is really, really good. 

School starts after tomorrow. I'm nervous to see everyone again because I think over this summer I've changed a lot, and not just in the 'I've put on weight sense' (although I have). I think I've kind of gotten over myself a bit. This year is also exams year, which is kind of insane seeing as I don't feel like I'm almost 16, but thank god it's my last year of senior school.

Wuthering Heights #1

These are some recent scans of my art from one of my journals, which is an old copy of wuthering heights. 

Its hard to keep track of what drawings are in what journals any more, I just have so many!

I'd given up on this journal a bit, due to a few bum pages, but after uploading these to tumblr I've felt really good about it and I want to make more. I've decided to redo those pages, and upload them after they're done, maybe add them onto this post. 

It's really nice to be feeling good about my art again.

Lazy Days

I had a really sweet day today.

Me, Jonno, Dan, Lozzer, Joel and Tom went to Boulter's Lock and spent the day doing pretty much nothing but lazing around in the sun. It was great, especially after all the exams. 

Some scenery from Raymill Island, where we spent most of our time.

So, this is the first time I've been to Raymill in four, maybe five years, and they'd put these weird wooden animals all over it that have no real purpose.

After a while, we found a cute little river that ran under a bridge. We paddled in it for a while to cool down, but then realised 'Oh shit, this is the Thames, we're all gonna get cholera' and stopped, then headed over to the white waters.

After we'd seen the rapids, we decided it was time to go. 

Before we left, we stopped in a little café to get cider ice lollies and sprite, and Tom got a bag of duck feed to feed the geese that live in the river waters surrounding Raymill Island.

It was nice going back there after so many years, and was a nice change to spend time in smaller groups of people in different places. Definitely gotta do more stuff like this in the holidays.

Hey guys! So sorry I haven't posed anything in SO LONG I've just been super busy with mocks and revision and school junk blah blah so I haven't posted since the last holidays! Luckily enough, only three weeks to the end of term, then hopefully my posts will be regular. Yay!

RECENT THINGS THAT HAPPENED:

We went to the zoo. And there were dinosaurs.

The ever present denim jacket, and ah-may-zing Mod dress I got from the YMCA for a tenner.

Me and Robbo also watched my mum play in a derby game, we didn't get many pics from the actual day, apart from these

incidentally, it's our six month anniversary on the 19th. and i've got pretty boyface a present and i am super excite.

Anyways, Ill get back to queueing some posts, i'll think about publishing a few pages of the comic i'm writing and hoping to giveaway copies of in the near future.
